On February 24th, 2022, Russia launched an invasion on Ukraine which has quickly turned into a bloody and devastating war.

Many lives have been turned upside down forcing women and children to flee their country leaving behind loved ones, their home and everything they know. Others stayed by choice or being forced to, having to hide in cold basements, not able to escape attacks on their towns suffering many deaths and injuries. 

About Doctors without Borders

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins sans Frontières) was founded in France in 1971 by a group of doctors and journalists in the wake of war and famine in Biafra. Their aim was to establish an independent organization that focused on delivering emergency medical humanitarian aid quickly, effectively, and impartially. 

Since then they have provided medical help to more than 70 countries every year and right now they have dispatched teams in Ukraine to deliver urgent medical supplies, train health workers on managing mass casualty incidents, run mobile clinics, and organize medical evacuations of hospitalized patients from the east to the west of the country.
